Is It Possible To Fail Your Way To Success?Fail Your Way to Success

Here I share with you a recent failure of mine, which led to a huge success. Can you fail your way to success?

People think success is a straight line. This is far from the truth. Feel free to share this post with your team, friends, or really anyone this could help.

My Fail Your Way To Success Story

Have you ever had just a horrible experience the first time you tried something in your business?

Whether it’s making a video, doing a home party, demonstrating a product, or doing a presentation? I’m going to show how you can fix that, and I’m going to give you a real life practical example of how you can fail your way to success.

Last night I held my very first webinar and although it was horrible I learned a lot. I

We had well … it was just absolutely terrible, terrible. It was horrible.

The equipment didn’t work, the sound was horrible, and the internet connection was spotty. We had people on there who had paid for the webinar, and I was super frustrated and angry because I wasn’t delivering what I knew we could.

How Do You React To Failure Determines Your Success

The question I ask you when you’re in those situations should be, “What can I learn from this?”

Here’s exactly what I learned from my mistakes last night.

Number 1

Number one, I needed to make sure I checked that everything was working before I actually started the webinar. Although I checked it at my house, I was having some difficulties at my house so I went to Starbucks to go do the webinar. I didn’t pre-check it at Starbucks. There’s my first mistake for sure. Make sure you check … especially if you’re using new software. If you are having a home party or a presentation make sure all the technology works.  Make sure everything is working because you checked it out. You check everything before you do it. That’s number one

Number 2

Number two,  which is the most important thing to do is to listen to the people who know what they’re doing. My coach Ray Higdon told me what software he uses to host webinars. I didn’t listen to his advice and went with another service. I thought it looked cooler. Well turns out that software did not working for me at all. So I took Ray’s advice, and I got Go To Webinar.

Last night after the epic fail of the webinar, I couldn’t sleep. We decided, my mom (who developed our Snapchat course) and I, that we were going to cut a brand new training to make sure when our people who were in our training woke up in the morning with the new training in their email inbox. We wanted to go to bed knowing that we delivered what we said we would deliver, so we used Go To Webinar. It was amazing. Had a fun time doing it. I’m sold. I’ll always use Go To Webinar.

You Will Fail Your Way To Success

Here’s what I want to say to you. The first time you do something it is not going to be easy. You’re going to have difficulties, you’re going to stumble, and you’re going fail your way to success.

That’s what business truly is and that’s what success is. You fail your way to success, step by step every single day. If you think it’s any other way or any different, you’re fooling yourself. You learn through your errors.

When you fail take a breath and ask yourself, “What can I learn from this?” You think about what you learned and then go fix it. Don’t get stuck in “I can’t do this. I’m not good at technology. I’m not that.” You’re going to stumble your way to being successful and that’s really what most people do.

I Love Learning

I learned a lot last night. One, I’ll never not take the advice of my coach again, because my coach knows exactly what he’s doing and that’s the reason why he coaches. Coaches are coaches because they’re ahead of you, and they’ve been down that path before.

If I had just listened we would have circumvented all of that struggle we had last night, but we learned a lot. We learned what not to do. We learned how to do it, and then we just had so much certainty and intensity last night to make sure that we delivered something that was amazing.

Message of Hope

I hope this message helps you, because ultimately whether you’ve had a home party, a one-on-one meeting, a three way call, or a webinar or a conference call you might have had some failures.

Maybe you’ve never done any of those because you’re afraid to fail. Don’t be afraid. Just go ahead and do it. Whatever the situation is. Whatever the tasks is. Go ahead and do it and learn from it. You’re going to get better.

Same thing if you’re cold calling. The first couple of cold calls are going to be very rough and you’re going to be shaking. You’re not going to know what to do, but when you push through them … I tell you from my experience of calling thousands and thousands of people, that you get better. You learn how to speak better. You learn what to say, and you will just get better from your experience.

Experience is the true test. Two ways you can learn:

  1. One, you can learn through experience without any guidance.
  2. Two you can get a coach and you can learn from them.

You May Need A Coach

Go For No: Fail Your Way To Success

A great book I suggest anyone who is either in sales or business in general is Go For No. This book put success in the right mindset for me. When you change your mindset on what the word No means you can have incredible breakthroughs. Here is the book Go For No by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz
