Myth: You Need To Be A Social Media Expert

Can you be effective using social media if you’re not an expert and if you don’t have a lot of results in network marketing?

Absolutely! Social media is a tool everyone should be focusing on right now and for the foreseeable future. Social media is something living in our culture that’s never going away. NEVER!!

People all over the world use social media and people are using every single day.

Here is a CRAZY stat:

Per Facebook, as of March 2016 there are 1.09 billion daily uses on Facebook and the average user is on Facebook for 50 minutes per day.

This is especially relevant if you are looking to build a network marketing business. Because your potential, customers, clients, and new business partners are on social media every single day.

You have to be using social media if you’re going to be building a business. There’s no way around it. You’re not going to get seen and you’re not going to get heard if you don’t use social media.

The question that stumbles a lot of people and I think the thought process that stumbles a lot of people is do they have to be a social media expert to have success?

Social Media is For EVERYONE!!

You don’t have to be an expert to use social media. You just have to be a person of value who wants to build relationships.

Social media is about building relationships. It’s about connecting with people, building relationships, and determining what their need is. Social media can be perfect tool for your business.

Network Marketing Tips to Recruit Using Facebook

How can you use social media in your network marketing business?

One way I suggest you can use social media in your business is to reach out to people, to interact with people, and to build relationships with people. You can do this in a variety of ways.

One of my favorite ways to go on fan pages of other well-know people, public figures, business people, and look at the posts that the public figures put and read the comments. Then comment on the comments and connect with the people who comment on the posts

Really good fan pages you can visit are: Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, Dani Johnson, Bob Proctor, The Secret, etc…

Focus on connecting with people. You can also send people who comment on these fan pages direct messages.

Tell them, “Man, that’s a good comment. Hey, I appreciate what you said there. I can relate with what you put about xyz. What do you do for a living?”

Focus On Relationships

Build a relationship with the people you message and reach out to, that’s one way that you can use social media to build your business. Even if you’re not an expert, you’re just building relationships. Start messaging people daily and you will start building an active prospect list from this strategy. If they’re interested in talking about your opportunity take it offline. Don’t give your link over a text. Speak with them first so you can set up the video.

You don’t have to be an expert. All you have to be is a willing person who’s willing to invest time to learn how to use social media correctly.

Become A Social Media Expert With Videos

Another way you can use social media to build your network marketing business and to become more credible is to start shooting videos. If you are afraid of getting behind the camera you need to get over the fear of putting yourself on camera. This is one of the fastest ways to be seen as an authority and Facebook is giving emphasis to videos.

I’ve blogged post about videos before, and other social media experts are talking about it. Videos are the future. Video are where Facebook is going. So if you want to get ahead of the curve and position yourself as an expert start making videos daily.

If you don’t know what to make your videos about, I suggest start reading more books, start going to more training’s, take good notes always, and then make videos on your notes. You can say literally, “I was on training and I learned this and I want to teach you this today.”

Consistency Is Key

If you make enough videos in a 6-month time period, a 3-month time period, or even a 1-month time period you’re going to start being seen as an expert. This is just the way it works.

Videos are the way to get yourself exposure. Social media is the way that you can build your business. You do not have to be an expert to use social media. You do not have to be an expert to build your business with social media.

All you have to do is be resourceful with the resource that’s given you. Facebook is the best resource out there. Your clients, customers, and potential prospects are in on Facebook. Go find them. Go reach out to them.

As a result of using this strategy you will be able to build relationships, build friendships, and build a following. I guarantee if you focus on this for the next year you’ll look back in 2017 and it’ll be completely different for your life.
